    700 ADL Tactical .308

    Rem 700 ADL Tactical .308.jpg
Ok, so here is a pic of my 700 ADL Tactical, interesting gun. I found this at a local Dicks Sporting goods and liked it. I went home and tried to find info on the ADL Tactical and couldnt find ANYTHING on the web. The next day, I sent an email to Remington asking for info and got a reply stating that they DID NOT MAKE an ADL Tactical. Imagine my surprise. So, I emailed them again with the ser# and then, I got an email back stating that the rifle was part of a very low special production run for Dicks. They would not, however, tell me how many they made. I am pretty sure the low run wont have any bearing on it's value, just a curiousity. 20" threaded heavy barrel, what appears to be a VTR Blind Mag stock, and the X-MARK Pro trigger, and the receiver mounted rail. I added the Bi-pod, 51 T muzzle device for the AAC SDN6, and topped it off with a Nikon P-308 4X12 with the Nikon P series mounts. Headed to the range tomorrow with about four different flavors of .308 to see what weight it likes the best. BTW, barrel is a 10 twist. I will be doing all shooting for Zero WITH the can mounted as it is unlikely to ever get fired without it. I run the same can on a M-4, and a 6.8 that I built and love it. There some folks that bash the 51 T mounts, but I have never had any issues with any of mine. YMMV I'll post some target pics when I get the chance after I get it dialed in. If anyone else has ever heard of the ADL Tactical, and or, has any shooting experience with one, please chime in on this thread. Rem 700 ADL Tactical .308.jpg

just picked one up. It's a new rifle in general. I spoke with remington a few times this past week to discuss all that was on the rifle as it is an exclusive to Dicks sporting goods. The serial number i gave her was made 3 months ago. The rifle is a 308 only and they don't know the exact number or timeframe they will be running these rifles (contracts). It is a 20" heavy barrel, xmp adjustable trigger, rail mounted, threaded barrel, 1:10 twist, dark earth. I thought for the price of 419 after $50 mail in rebate, why pass on it. I haven't put anything on her yet but I'm going to keep a lookout for a nice optic and I'll keep things posted. Look forward to see your review on how she handles at the range.

    I just got one but it's in 6.5 creedmore. It's also a 24inch barrel.

I just saw this at Dick's Sporting Goods. It's hard to pass up for the price alone. Dick's is offering a 20% coupon which brings the price down to 399. It also comes with a $50 rebate. I don't think it has an X-Mark Pro trigger though.

Rem 700 complete.jpgIt does have the Xmark pro, after getting it to the range, see no reason to buck up for an aftermarket trigger. I did however put it in a Magpul hunter chassis with the magwell. Love it, super easy install but Ihave to wait till I get the cast off my left arm ( motorcycle, hit by dirtbag)700 ADL TAC 100 YDS.jpg before taking it to the range. It was shooting sub MOA out of the box at 100 yards with factory ammo before the stock change so Iam really anxious to try it out.

That Magpul stock looks really good on that 700 ADL. Im looking to get it and swap the stock as well as add the magwell.

No update yet, I still need to get to the range with the sled to dial it in. Judging by the performance with the factory stock, it should do fine. Starting to think about bucking up for the Timney 512 trigger. I'll post once I get it dialed in.
