Cool I'd like to have the 1994, please...

6.5x55 just has to be very accurate in a 700.

My only Model 700 is a .35 Whelen which is a great hunting rifle. The code is W I thus August 1988 which agrees with the post of O.E.F M.P.

I hate for my very first post to the group to be a contradiction , but the Remington 700 introduction in 8mm RM in 1978, not 1998. Likely a typo, but just to keep the record straight. I bought the first one my dealer received in 1979.
