Make a new scope decision?
OK the Vortex gen II is not going to happen for at least 3-6 months. In being impatient I looked at the Burris 5-25x50 SCR-MOA and thought that it's less $$, looks to have all the features I want/need. What are other shooters thinking about this optic? Cuts a grand off the vortex price also...
Any Experience with this new version?

Not bad considering the features it has. Also I would go for the SCR-Mil....

I'm an MOA guy lol
Just waiting to talk to them Monday as they have a military discount also but were redoing some of the process.
It's not a matching brown like the Vortex but I can always cerakote it.

I like Mil scopes because breaking numbers in .10 is easier. I'm the end they are numbers and both do the same but in different increments.
As for discounts I would really look into it at Burris because they have the scope posted for 1500 basically. The link I posted its for 1199+15 for shipping. So if the link I posted offers military discounts that would be a better deal. Unless Burris will give you better discount for you to end up below 1199.

The Vortex does have a no quibble warranty, apparently they fix it or replace it however you break it. Worth the difference?

Nice. Didn't realise that. Not sure how popular or easy to get hold of Burris are in the UK, but I know a lot of guys with Vortex scopes on their rifles.
