    Need help

I recently purchased a 308 that the guy I bought it from claims came from Remington custom shop . It is exactly like the sendero but short action . I need some help with choosing a scope . I am willing to spend between $500 $800 . Would rather stay in the $600 range . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of shooting do you plan on doing with this rifle?

I'm not sure what the gun is capable of but would like to be able to target shoot out to 500 yds . And deer hunt a little also .

SWFA SS 10x42 or 20x42 fixed power. Excellent scope & even better price. $300. I got the scope, rings, sun shade & bubble level for $400. Put it on my 700 SPS .308.Takes me out to 1000 with no effort.

I really like my vortex viper pst 4-16x50, plus it has a great warranty. I have only shot out to 500 with it so far so I don't know how small things will look out at 1000. Might want one with a higher magnification to be more accurate. For the price I don't think you would find many that equal it.SDC10120 (Large).jpgSDC10119 (Large).jpg

I have a 6x24 Vortex Viper HS, bought it on a close out sale at Cabela's recently for $389.00. I think the normal price was $559.00, and it does its job well. Not as clear as my Leupold, Sightron III or Nightforce scopes, but a good scope for the money. I do like at least 32 power for 1,000 yards and my 1,000 yard benchrest guns sport 8x32, 12x42 and 15x55 Nightforce scopes on them. Since you will be hunting also, the variable power will let you crank it down for a wider field of few and target acquisition.
