Seems that a number of the regulars have not been posting either. Nor answering questions. Many forums have posting limitations, especially for commercial sponsors and non-contributing members. Its not my site, so it is up to the owners as to how they want to handle it, but if it chases people away, there will be even less discussion topics.

This site has turned into a classified section...won't be back. Too bad, as there is lots of info here but I am finding it harder and harder to wade through the BS ads.

    Kind regards...Craig
A recent study found the average Canadian walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found Canadians drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year. That means, on average, Canadians get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be Canadian, doesn't it??!!

I tend to agree, I want discussions on the rifles,if I want to buy something I will go to a site that was ment to handle such merchandise.

For the last five years this site along with Practical Riflery have been my main connections to other shooters. I am going to miss this one, and many of the people who have helped me over the years. Now to find a replacement.

Since the ads have calmed down, maybe someone is listening.

It all depends on when you sign on and how long since you signed on the last time. I always View New Posts and that eliminates all the ones that I skimmed over on my last visit. When I came back from being off so long there was over 30. Maybe I am just on too often again.

I've just logged on, and had to climb over too many ads (20) to see any thread of the the 3. Not worth the effort.

Yes the site takes money to run, but a separate area for the advertisers would be an asset.

    Thanks for everything people.

What's wrong with a special section with a single link to the vendor's website? It doesn't have to be a perpetual listing for every product they sell.
This site is a trove of good information and without the bombardment of retail ads, maybe more people would post. I'll probably follow Bob over to Accurate Shooter. Some of their information threads are several years old and need to be updated, but there is still a lot of stuff to read there.

Too bad that a couple of vendors be allowed to take down a site for the sake of some free advertising.

I think that part of the problem is that these are not FREE posts, but these vendors pay as contributing suppliers in order to be able to post like that. Happens on most sites, but usually are maybe one post a day or pop up banner ads.
