    700 pcr

Does anyone own or have knowledge of the 700 PCR? If so what is your opinion.

Which caliber are you considering? I like a fully adjustable chassis and for the price, the PCR should be a good value out of the box. I would probably choose 6.5 Creedmore these days. I guess part of this is going to be, what will your main purpose be for the rifle? Those type chassis, don't ride bags well but it a quality bipod it could be stable. Personally I am not into the Russian Rifling, but many tactical shooters are. I have yet to see a 5R barrel on a 1,000 yard custom rifle. I have a friend with the Ruger version, which shoots very well.

I would be the 6.5cm. You make a valid point with the 5R rifling. I had not thought of that. Thanks

I think the police .308 tactical version is also 5R rifling, so some people like it. You will like the 6.5 Creedmore if you are planning on using factory ammo. Will shoot best with reloads, but at least there is factory ammo available to start off with.

I own a 700 P in 223 and it shoots groups off the bench of less than 1/2" with 78gr ammo at 100 yards with a Weaver T36 for sighting. Since reloading is something of no interest to me those around me shoot tighter groups (1/3" and less) with the same rifles. I've seen many firearms and had to look up the PCR. If you buy one let us know what you think of it. If accuracy and precision are what you are after the 6.5 Creedmore is probably your best bet.

I debated getting the PCR as well, but was really wanting the Rem 260 M700 in the Magpul stock... as funds dwindled and ultimately passed on both.
