    Bought a used 700 BDL

Hi, Bought a used 700 BDL , Came from Texas with a custom stock, Gun I think was made around 1970 not sure , serial #6558477. Custom stock has a metal plate on pistol grip with customer name and stock maker name { John Hardin } 1980 when it was made. Has anyone heard of this stock maker. Glad to be a member. Thanks

Never heard of that Stock Maker, but it looks a lot like the stock on my Parker Hale 1200 from 1971.

Nice looking rifle, buy the way the scope is set up it sure looks like early 70’s or earlier.
With the k w stamp on the barrel May of 1972 should be mfg date.

Freefloat , going to try to do some research on the stock maker. stock was made 1980 . The pistol grip is a tear drop shape with the owners name and maker. Will try to take a picture of it tomorrow. Thanks for your reply John

PARKER HALE 1200.jpgThe Checkering on your rifle is much more interesting.

Bob, Nice rifle, I see what you mean. Even the tear drop pistol grip looks the same. Thanks John
