Finally got the HS and bipod installed. Can't wait to see what she'll do this weekend. Cloverleafs at 200 yards????? Lets hope!
Very nice! I like the color because its a great contrast to the black parts. If yours shoots anything like mine you should be able to place just about every shot in a varmint's eye @ 200yds! Let us know how it shoots and dont forget the pics!RBoomK said:Finally got the HS and bipod installed. Can't wait to see what she'll do this weekend. Cloverleafs at 200 yards????? Lets hope!
Man I'm telling you that your going to have some fun! If your saying you were shooting about 3/4" groups @ 100yds look for the groupings to shrink. I have shot about 1/3" groups @ 100yds and just under 3/4" groups @ 200yds. but I reload so my groups are tight. Big change in what you feel huh? You did the best thing you can do for this rifle and I wish I could watch you shoot. Have lotsa fun buddy!RBoomK said:Doug,
It was the Hogue overmold. I'm like most everyone else - I didn't like it pinching off on the barrel. I don't think(?) it affected accuracy (it was shooting under .7" with ammo it liked) but it still bothered me. The new HS is rock-solid and I'm curious to see what kind of groups I can wring out now.

and nice remodeling done on that 700
Ha Ha cool! I'm sending my bolt in at the end of the month and having the Phoenix tactical knob installed and have black Cerakote applied to the knob and bolt. Mighty fine work he does and yours is a perfect example. Thanks for sharing!RBoomK said:The bolt just came back from AZ Precision with the new knob. Keith did a great job! The photos do not show how precise and centered the knob fits on the handle.
Well, I am glad to see you fellas are not boycotting Arizona companys....good for you!308isgreat said:Ahhhh my bolt went out to AZ Precision last Thursday morning! Now all I have to do is wait for it to come back and I will post a full photo spread.....
