Because this rumor has been floating around for about a year, I called Remington today. They advised that the SPS Tactical has NOT been discontinued. It is a limited production run rifle.
It is not on the website, and neither is the 5R.

You should be able to find it on the website under Exclusive Dealers or something like that. It takes some searching, but it's there.
