Getting ready for our yearly trip to the Dakotas for the Prairie Dog Wars. While loading ammo yesterday I found some 87 grain VMAX bullets in my junk drawer that I bought some years ago. The .243 that I had at the time wouldn't shoot them very well so I never bothered with them again. I decided to see if my new 6MM BR Norma would like them and this is what I got. my "On Target" program measures it as .187.
Hornady lists the BC of those bullets as .400 which isn't bad for medium range bullet but Hornady has been a bit generous with their BC measurement in the past so I don't know what these really are.
