i use a blue aluminum tube bore guide that has changeable tips for different calibers. i have used the regular copper brushes and the nylon ones tha jags and what ever you want and not a problem.

here is what i have been using for about 4 years with no issues

I bought the cheap PVC pipe one with a rubber ring around the end. Does the job. You don't need high tech for a bore guide.

Exactly! I have an old Stoney Point bore guide and I made another from copper tubing and some plastic that I turned down in my lathe. As long as it keeps the slop out of the action and aligns the cleaning rod, you're good to go.

I have been using Dewy rods and guides for over 20 years now.

I have a Dewey's coming and I hear they work well.....will see when I get it. ;)
