Ok first off I'm gonna come straight out and admit I'm new to the Remington 700, and pretty much new rifles in general. (shot plenty but all military rifles and are in no way considered new) So I've heard mixed opinions from guys at my unit about "breaking in a new barrel". People that swear by it all have their own methods and some say it makes no difference and to just go out and shoot the damn thing.
So my questions would be...
A.) Is there such a thing as breaking in the barrel
B.) If so then how is this accomplished
C.) Does it really make a difference

Thans for the help yall

To me it's all about polishing out the imperfections of a barrel by shooting bullets through it. I will post a link to info pertaining to my statement and what I mean by it.
