I know I have posted pics of this rifle in various stages but here is the final project.



The goods:
Original Rifle: Remington 700 ADL 243 Walmart Special

Modifications:
1. Factory VS SF II Fluted 308 Take off barrel installed with factory SS recoil lug
2. Lugs Lapped
3. Bolt Fluted
4. Tactical Knob
5. Bobby Hart LRH Cobalt Stock pillar bedded
6. Timney Trigger set to 1.5lbs
7. DNZ Game Reaper mount system
8. Weaver T36
9. Action and Floor Metal KG coated brushed stainless steel
10. SSG Brake

Gunsmithing done by SSG in North Dakota.

Here she was when I brought her home.

Thats a WOW for sure. That's a seriously nice piece of hardware.
I'm stuck trying to decide if I want to build a 243 or a 260. I'm leaning
toward a 243 since my girlfriend now wants her own rifle but I can't seem
to let go of the 260 idea. Again you did good on that one. Be sure and
post your handload results. With 308 being super accurate anyway that
thing should be a hair splitter once you get a load worked up.

I looooooove a 243 for my hunting needs in south Georgia. It does it all and easy on the pocket book and shoulder. After converting this one to the 308 I missed my 243 so much I went and purchased me another 243 700 and its strickly for hunting. I do plan on tweaking it a little though.
