Recently acquired Model 700 with six digit SN 364xxx range and WR 64 barrel marking.

The WR indicates it was made in 1997, 1968, or 1924 if I am correct.

It is by looks older than bring made in 1997.

Can someone tell me by SN if it would have been made in 1924 or 1968 ?

Also, the trigger has no slack in it and a very light pull.

Is the no slack common with 700's or is there typically some ?

Is the trigger adjustable to increase the trigger pull weight or................

Welcome to the Forum. For sure not a 1924. The original triggers did not have a lot of creep but never saw a 700 factor trigger that had a light trigger pull from the factory. Might not be an original trigger as most of us that have 700s, the first thing on the list is to change out the trigger to at a minimum a Timney.

August 1968. Manufacture of 700 did not start until 1962 or 4. Read up on walker trigger. As Bob said, replace it.
