Have a couple of questions for the seasoned people here.
I have a model 722 stock for a .222 short action
1st. can it be used as a other 722 like say .308 Winchester.
2nd I can find parts for all caliber model 722 except the barrel housing.Does anyone have any suggestions to where to get them.
Any and all help would be appreciated

You can use any 722 short action in the stock but for 308 the bolt will be different than a 222. Depending on barrel profile the stock may require inleting.

Not sure what your reference to barrel housing is.

Try NUMRICH gun parts. They sell parts from parted out rifles and handguns.

There should be none or very little difference in the 222 stock and the 308 stock or any other caliber from 722's.
Right now I have a very nice stock removed from a 257 Roberts, including the metal parts and the factory butt plate. I will sell it when I find someone who wants/needs it. I also have the 257-243-300-308 bolt from that rifle and the 257 barrel.
The receiver I converted to a 6mm-223 and installed a laminated 700 stock, and made it a 722 BDL, using a 222 bolt acquired from Numrich. Let me know if you have other questions with which I can help.
