I just took delivery of a SPS Tactical in 223. It came with the SPS Varmint stock and not the Hogue. I have only seen one other that had this. Does anyone know why it would come like that? For what it's worth, I have an ADL Varmint in 308 with the same exact stock and I get .65 moa with it at 100yds, so until I shoot it I am not really sweating it.

That sounds like a solid plan. Always shoot, then make changes if needed (or wanted :D )

How far out do you plan on taking that 5.56? Any thoughts yet? Just curious.

The longest range around here is 300yds. The rifles purpose is pretty much for coyote and fox. Already have a trial batch of ammo made up with Blitzkings and Ramshot X-terminator powder.

Wow, that blows. But 300 is actually a fun distance for 5.56/.223. That round is still extremely accurate at 300, especially out of a bolt gun.

Remington emailed me back that the SPS=T comes with the varmint stock and not the Hogue. I emailed back stating that their website shows the Hogue and just about every picture I see of one has the Hogue.
