Newbie to the site, just wanted to introduce myself

Im a south la native, and got a wild hair in my ass to get something to shoot paper with, and possibly hunt with. Got out of deer hunting about 17 years ago, and got a bunch of friends wanting me to give it a shot again.

I figured a SPS tactical in .308 would suit both needs, so I went to get one yesterday.

Technically its my first 700. I also have a Mohawk 600 which is pretty much a model 7.

Looking forward to picking out my glass and getting some lead downrange

Hello Hotshot and welcome to the forum. I've been a member for about a week.
I have the 700 tactical in .308 and love it. It's crazy accurate right out of the box.
Been playing around with Varget and some 165 Nosler B.T.'s that I had on hand which I use in my hunting .308. It's
poking a .25 inch hole at 100 when I do my part.
Mine has a Falcon Menace 10X42 scope which seems to be a pretty good piece of glass for the money.

I can't disagree at all with what BadKarma said! My SPS Tactical in .308 is wicked accurate also. I'm using 45 grains Varget and the Sierra Match Kings in 168 grains. I'm using CCI BR2 primers. It will shoot tight groups all day long!

Let us know how you like the Falcon scope and maybe post a review in the "Product Reviews" section of the forums. I know a lot of people seem to like those scopes along with the Bushnell Elite scopes as well.
