Does anyone have a PSL or ever shot one? My friend is looking at buying a PSL in 7.62X54R. Do any of ya'll know where to find a ballistic table and trajectory chart for the 7.62X54R? My Speer reloading manual does not have anything on this round.

On SC, Eka was saying the Federal Load a FGMM for 7.62x54R. I'm gonna try and get some for my M39.

have a look at www.jbmballistics.com for making up trajectory cards. I use em, they are good.

The PSL is a semi-auto DM rifle. Its Romanian.

I googled it. Don't know anything about them but we had a captured Dregunov in our unit for a time and I fired a few rounds with it. I wasn't really impressed. I think it would be cool to own one now days and really see what you could do with it. The 7.62X54R is a pretty neat round and will do the job as well as the .308 with proper hand loads.

What's a PSL? Ballistic tables can be made up for any round if you know the Velocity and the BC of the bullet.
The PSL resembles a dragunov but thats about where it ends...it relies on a AK action and is stamped where Drag's are milled. PSL are romanian built designated marksman rifles...not sniper rifles. As much as the Drag guys hate to admit it the PSL's accuracy is comparible.

Like any military surplus firearm...accuracy varies ...some shoot good some don't. Mine shoots good with cheap ammo.
