My Brother has a Remington Woodmaster 742 which he wants to determine the year of manufacture, he says he has it for about 40 years the rifle is pristine in 30-06. The barrel code is REp we also see another 4 character code B141. The serial #is A712----. Can someone shed some light. I have looked all over the internet and I cannot match these. Made in Ilion, NY.
