Greetings to everyone here, have been reading these boards for a little bit but only recently joined and wanted to ask a question of some of you very knowledgable shooters.
I have a Remington SPS in .308, I want to place a picatinny rail on it with some decent rings that can absorb recoil well. The scope is a bushnell and uses 1 inch scope rings.
Just curious if anyone would be willing to point me towards some good picatinny rails & ring combo's that work well on the Rem 700.
Thank you,
Kludo
Edited to add:
Got a harris bi-pod on order, Im looking for a sling.. saw a few in the links to the 700 resources. Not really anything I care for, Im a sinch in shooter and Im a lefty.. I dont like bulky/thick slings, prefer more of a hasty style sling... any suggestions? Something that will use the adaptor on the Harris and the normal sling stud on the 700.
Edited again to also add:
My Remington 700 SPS .308 has a floor plate (internal magazine) this means it is a BDL right? Also are the SPS series rifles considered long or short action? Or is that decided by the caliber of the weapon ?
