I would say 3 pounds for a stock trigger isn't that bad. On my SPS Tactical in .308 it feels like it's around 4-6 pounds. It has a nice clean brake, but I like the 2 stage trigger on my AR-15 much better. That one has a "match trigger" from the factor that's I've been happy with.
