Wonder Optics 4-14x50mm Scope
The wotac scope come in a nice looking black box, and everything inside is safely wrapped in bubble wrap. Along with this scope you receive a lens cover, lens cloth, a 3” sun shade, a hex wrench and some replacement screws for the turrets. The wrench is a little flimbsy, and I ended up useing one that was one size bigger. The one that came with the scope would slip in the scews, and I was afrade of striping something.
The glass seems to be clear, vary clear! Nice bit of eye relief, but it gets a little tight on the highest power. The custom reticule is vary nice and easy to use when shooting. The reticule is vary nice for "hold over" shots, if you find your self having to take one. The power at that the redial is acuity is a little funny, about 7.5x. Hart to tell exactly. Optically, I am told that you just turn the power tell the "knob" is directly upwards, or in line with the wight dot on the scope (same thing). The large 50mm scope gathers light vary well in day and night time use. I find myself seeing surprisingly well at night.
The turrets on this scope have a vary solid click, and are easy to use with the ¼ moa adjustment. Also holding a full 80moa of adjustment kicks this scope high in my books. They are vary large, and have a easy to grip surface around the rim. These large turrets rely are a nice thing to have. They are also open turrets, allowing you to track how many clicks you have traveled when making long rang shots.
As a few of you may know, these GEN 3 scopes are actually an upgrade over the past model. Replacing a few small parts inside with higher grade metals. As well for a few (vary small) added mechanics just to make the scope that much better. Other then that, there is a small change in the rear bell. The scope no longer has the "fluted" bell, but in fact smooth. This change is for the better in my opinion, making it easier to add butler creek caps.
For under $350 I could not think of a better scope to have!
Range report:
At the range today, a few people where looking at my scope. After looking threw it, they where vary impressed with it all. The scope looks grate, clear glass, and a crisp reticule was all they had to say. Everyone was vary impressed.
I rewrote this review just for you guys on this site, Enjoy!
