doing ADL to BDL conversion with detachable mag , and new trigger , trigger works fine , bolt stop functions , mag functions but when i tighten the forward screw the bolt will not articulate , loosen to where its just about to cinch and the bolt functions freely , the slightest amount of torque and the bolt locks up , rear screw 40 inch lbs

There are two different length front action screws, as I've found doing an ADL-to-BDL conversion myself. Some of the "action screw sets" off eBay contain the longer screw. The shorter screw won't bind the action, but the longer screw interferes with bolt rotation. You just need to source a shorter screw. yea the fellas at The Snipers Hide forum helped me yesterday , i had ground down the screw because it was not seating in the trigger gurd , i just sis not grind enough , i was not aware the screw hole went all the way through

so i just nibbled some more , all is good now , everything functions great , bolt is smooth , trigger upgrade feels amazing , bolt release and safety are G2g , and detachable mag locs up , ejects and most importantly feeds and ejects perfectly

very pleased with the whole project , thanks for the reply

what happened is it was a ADL to BDL conversion , so the screw i bought that i needed because the ADL screw would not work was too long for some reason , the other was too short , the screws i purchased were suppose to be BDL action screws

like i said , i had already ground the screw down because it was stopping before it seated in the trigger guard , i just did not realize the hole went all the way through

my rifle came with pic rail already on it so thats what i always used
